It’s a Miracle!
Since starting this blog, I aimed to find the perfect accessible home. This showed to be a difficult task, especially as accessible homes rarely come up. Last week, I was able to view two ideal houses which offered a lot of room for adaption. Today I shall take you through the two views, did I manage to find the perfect home?
When these two came up online, I was quick to book these for viewings. From what I saw, both properties had pretty attractive and ideal features, so I was fairly excited. I’ve tried to describe both properties below to help you imagine what I saw!

Property One
Property one was a small bungalow in quite a peaceful and soothing area. The property appeared to have been left dormant for some time, with slightly overgrown grass. The inside of the property also shared some qualities with the grass, with slightly worn and outdated features.
Fortunately, the property was a fairly comfy size bungalow with an accessible wet room bathroom, making this perfect for anyone who would rather shower than bathe. As for the flooring, there was plenty of concrete which gave the home potential to have premium heated floors installed!
Property Two
As for the second property, it was more accessible than the first. It had a great-sized driveway, with a fairly wide entrance door (which could be made bigger for wheelchair access). On the inside, there were spacious and modern-looking rooms, with a fairly large lounge and main bedroom.
Like property one, it had access to a decent-sized wet room, making this the perfect property for those who need turning space in the house. Overall, this house seemed like the property for me in terms of access and the maps seemed to lay out what was around pretty nicely.
Why Didn’t I Put Offers In?
When it comes to buying a property, you need to like the home. Unfortunately for both properties, the location didn’t appeal to me, despite one having many ideal stores nearby. Despite there being convenient places nearby, I didn’t feel at home.
Even though a property is accessible, doesn’t mean I should rush in and buy it. Buying the perfect home is an investment so if you don’t like the property, why buy it? However, it was great to find an accessible home for once but they just didn’t have the features I was looking for.
