Welcome to the sixth edition of the property hunting update. Ever since my last update, I’ve had an additional property viewing booked and had some new property hunting experiences. Lessons have also been learnt from the latest viewing. Read on to find out!
The Property
Funnily enough, this latest property is located very close to where I currently lived. With this home being very close to where I currently live, it made sense to book a viewing to see what the property had to offer.
The property itself is situated on a corner of the street I live on, with plenty of space in the garden and next to the main road. As somebody who has lived on this noisy road for some time, I was already used to all the noise.
Great Opportunity
In terms of options, it seemed like the perfect home to mould into the perfect accessible home. Since it was directly next door to me, there was plenty of flexibility and convenience due to how close it was. It was clear that this home was the perfect opportunity for me.
The Viewing
When it came to the viewing the property seemed very spacious and had many adaptation opportunities. The property itself seemed perfect and could have been the perfect home for me if I was to be successful. Unfortunately, after submitting my offer I wasn’t able to secure the win against the other competitive offers.
Lessons Learned
What this property taught me is that the UK housing market is a fierce place to compete in. While you may come across the perfect accessible home, you still need to be willing to pay more to secure the property, especially if other people are interested too. On this occasion, I learned my lesson in regard to what offers I need to be considering when I find a suitable home to purchase.
It Still Continues…
Since I wasn’t so lucky this time, my search continues for the perfect accessible home. Despite all the disappointments I’ve been having, I’m confident that a great home will come around soon. Still, it sucks that there aren’t many accessible homes out there that could be adapted to my needs.
