Since my last property update, I managed to secure another bungalow viewing. The latest property was the fastest viewing I’ve booked to date thanks to many notifications and updates I set up with vendors in my local area. What came of the latest property, was it a dream come true this time? Well, let’s find out!
Arrival
Front
Off a busy road, is a quiet long street leading to a cul de sac. At the bottom sits this very lovely sized bungalow with a big enough drive for any car. To the left of the drive is a gate leading towards the back of the property with a decent-sized patch of grass to the right – something that could quite easily be turned into additional driveway space. In addition, to the grass was a well-paved path leading to the front entrance of the property.
Inside
On the inside, was a cosy hallway which lead to all the rooms on the property. The property overall had modern fittings throughout, with plenty of modern features, carpets and enough space for people trying to downsize or wanting a property that is small and cosy. Overall was a great bungalow for those looking to move into a property straight away without having to do any work – the current owners had done a superb job renovating the place.
Garden
As for the garden, there was a massive drop at the back (the biggest I’ve seen!). Although, when seeing the garden it was pretty big and offered plenty of space at the back for extensions and upgrades whilst living there. I really do prefer properties with room for growth, since I can add extra rooms to the house as time goes by, which will stop the need to search for another accessible home in the future (although there is always the potential too).
Too Small Again
Unfortunately for me, it was just too small for my specific powerchair needs hence had already made this property unsuitable. I was fortunate to have visited the property this time since the entrance was accessible enough but the inside of the property wasn’t due to how small the property was. There has definitely been a theme of small bungalows on this blog at the moment, hopefully, this will end soon…
Again, this highlights this misconception people have about bungalows being accessible – they don’t all come with wide enough doorways or big enough rooms for powered wheelchairs.
